The Amarillo Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who does not comply with these policies. Additionally, breach of any of these policies may result in removal from the zoo without refunded admission.
Respect the animals
You are a guest in their home. Do not harass, yell, or harm any animals. Do not tap on windows or glasses. Take time to learn about each species.
Do not feed the animals
This is not your grandparent's farm. Our animals are on special diets to provide them the best health possible.
No outside food or drinks
For the safety of our animals, no outside food or drink is allowed in the zoo.
Do not sit, stand, climb, or cross over fences
Perimeter fences are there for your protection and the animals' protection. Please contact staff if you have lost an item.
No smoking
No smoking, alcoholic beverages, or illicit drugs are allowed on zoo grounds.
No skates, skateboards, bicycles, etc.
Skates, roller blades, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, and other unauthorized items and motorized vehicles are not allowed on zoo grounds. Expect wheelchairs & electric scooters for the disabled.
