Scarlet macaws live in the tropical forests and svannahs of Central and South America.
Their diet consists of seeds, flowers, nuts, fruits, and other vegetation. They use their strong beak to crack open the hard shells of nuts and seeds.
IUCN Status - Least Concern
The illegal pet trade and hunting for their feathers are major threats.
